CryptoLab, founded in 2018 in Seoul, focuses on homomorphic encryption technologies that enable data to remain encrypted while being processed. The company’s core offering, the HEaaN Library, is built on its patented CKKS scheme, a fourth-generation homomorphic encryption method designed for real-number operations. This allows organizations to run analytics, statistical workloads, and machine learning inference without decrypting underlying datasets.

CryptoLab’s tools support use cases in sectors handling sensitive information, including healthcare, finance, genomics, and cloud services, and also extend to post-quantum cryptography toolkits intended to mitigate long-term cryptographic risks.

The company has attracted significant backing as homomorphic encryption gains commercial traction. CryptoLab raised $16 million in a Series A in July 2022 led by Stonebridge Capital and Altos Ventures.
