Nudge Security, founded in 2021 by Russell Spitler and Jaime Blasco, is a SaaS and AI governance platform that helps enterprises regain visibility and control at the “workforce edge” — where employees adopt apps and tools independently.

Backed by investors including Ballistic Ventures, Forgepoint Capital and Squadra Ventures, the firm raised $16.5 million in seed funds in 2024 and then a $22.5 million Series A in November 2025 led by Cerberus Ventures. The platform identifies thousands of SaaS and generative AI tools in use and automates discovery of shadow apps and AI instances. Nudge Security also delivers just-in-time “nudges” via browser or collaboration tools to steer users toward approved workflows, helping security and IT teams manage risk, identity exposure and compliance in real time.
