Enterprise GenAI Security Guardrails Platform

Prompt Security was founded in August 2023 by Itamar Golan (CEO) and Lior Drihem (CTO). The company’s mission: to provide an enterprise-grade security platform

that safeguards generative AI usage, protecting against misuse of LLMs, prompt injection attacks, data leakage, shadow AI tool usage, and other risks associated with rapid AI adoption.

Shortly after founding, Prompt Security emerged from stealth mode in January 2024 and raised $5 million in a seed round led by Hetz Ventures with participation from Four Rivers. Prompt Security closed a Series A worth $18 million in November 2024. The round was led by Jump Capital (with participation from Hetz, Ridge Ventures, Okta and F5), bringing the total raised to around $23 million.

On August 5, 2025, SentinelOne announced a definitive agreement to acquire Prompt Security in a deal valued at roughly $250 million.
